Andy Gibson

Andy GibsonAndy Gibson was educated at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, then went on to play in the Band of the Coldstream Guards.

Since his army days, work has included West End shows such as The Mikado, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, Starlight Express, The Full Monty, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Calamity Jane, Acorn Antiques and 125th Street, and he has toured with Dancing in the Streets, 42nd Street and Kiss Me Kate

His TV and film credits include Bob Martin, To the Manor Born, My Family, Only  Fools and Horses, Honey for Tea, Ain’t Misbehaving, Roger Roger, Come Dancing, Top of the Pops, Over Here, Root into Europe, Oscar Charlie, Powers.

Artists and Bands Andy has played regularly for and featured with include Lena Horne, Sister Sledge, the Three Degrees, Donna Summer, The High Llammas, The Super Furry Animals,  Colin Towns Mask Orchestra, Matthew Herbert Big Band, Jimmy Ruffin, Julie London, Engelbert Humperdink,  and many more

As well has his current involvement with Anthony’s AllStars and That Shaw Thing, Andy is Musical Director of Kingston University Big Band and of Hampton School Jazz Band.

Andy lives in Kingston with his wife and two sons.
