Pete Roth

Pete RothPete began playing the guitar at the age of 11 and by the age of 12 was playing lead guitar in the school band.. Mostly self-taught, Pete’s early influences were Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Garry Moore. By the age of 19 he decided to to take up private lessons and developed a passion for all things fast as long as they have been played by Steve Vai or Joe Satriani.

With more experience and understanding of music he decided to enroll in a music degree course which involved the major step of moving from his home country Germany to Guildford in England. During this time he developed a passionate love for Jazz music and his influences are Joe Pass, George Benson and Pat Martino. Pete has worked professionally since 1998 in numerous projects such as backing a major artist in the prime time Television show “ Hitparade der Volksmusik” to playing in the remake of the Christmas song “Do they know its Christmas time” for Capital FM.

Recently he has been Musical Director in a private TV production and plays with different bands all over the country as well as having traveled the world on his work for P&O cruise ships on board the Oriana.  He lectures at the Academy of Contemporary Music, as well as working with Anthony’s AllStars function band and That Shaw Thing.

Currently Pete is working on his debut album . Watch out for it…!
